Interethnic interaction in the Caspian region will be discussed at a meeting in Astrakhan

On October 27th Astrakhan will host the ninth meeting of the Caspian Expert Club. The international meeting is organized via a video bridge format and it will be devoted to the interethnic diversity and interaction of the countries of the Caspian basin.

Considering this territory as a historical and geographical landscape of the development of the dialogue of national cultures, the participants of the meeting will discuss migration trends, factors of influence on inter-ethnic and inter-confessional relations in the region, as well as issues of struggle and prevention of extremism in this sphere.

Representatives of state bodies and public organizations, journalists and experts from the countries of the region will take part in the round table.

The meeting will take place on the fields of the Astrakhan Petrovsky readings – the scientific conference “Russia – Astrakhan – East: Integral Interaction”.

The event will be organized by the Center for International and Social and Political Studies “Caspian-Eurasia”, the TV channel Astrakhan 24, the historical faculty of the Astrakhan State University.
