The SCO Centre for Friendship and Cooperation was opened in Tajikistan, in the State Academy at the President of the country. The event was dated to the 20th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
The opened centre is the non-state, non-governmental public organisation which studies processes of integration and strengthening of SCO. The basic lines of activity of the centre are cooperation and friendship strengthening between organisation member countries, advancement of mutual trust and good neighbourhood, solidarity between the people and religions, development of dialogue of civilisations, exchange of the personnel, study of integration processes, development of initiatives and national actions.
At the opening ceremony of the SCO Centre for Friendship and Cooperation SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov spoke.
