This Saturday morning in November gave a surprise for Ashgabat residents. Indeed, even the day before foliage lay on the sidewalks, and today the streets of the city are covered with a thin white carpet. This phenomenon is not quite typical for a mild Turkmen autumn.
The children impatiently ran out of the houses into the street to look at the first snow. Of course, to play snowballs, or to make a snowman, there was not enough material, but even a touch of cold white ice, instantly melting on the palms, gave a feeling of approaching New Year holidays.
A few hours later the clouds scattered and sparkled the warm rays of the sun. By noon from the first snow there were only memories and photographs reminding that winter was coming.
However, forecasters for the coming week predict a gradual increase in temperature. Already at the next output columns of thermometers will show a mark of +16 degrees of heat.
And the beginning of December is expected to be completely frosty and without snow. The temperature will vary from +10 to +17 degrees Celsius. Perhaps the residents of Ashgabat will not see the next snowy greetings from winter anytime soon.
