The first meeting of Ministers of Economy and Trade of the Caspian states was held in the frameworks the first CEF in Avaza. By its results heads of departments signed a joint communiqué.
Participants of the meeting – the head of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Batyr Bazarov, minister of economic development of the Russian Federation Maksim Oreshkin, minister of national economy of Kazakhstan Ruslan Dalenov, deputy minister of economy of Azerbaijan Rufat Mamedov, deputy minister of industry, mines and trade of Iran discussed a number of issues concerning the role of the Caspian region in world economy, prospects of expansion of mutually advantageous cooperation in the sphere of digital economy, trade, mutual investments, industry, development of special economic zones and so forth.
Among central themes of discussion – study of issues of exchange of experience, legislative standards, rules and statistical information in economy and trade spheres, creation and development of free economic zones in the territories of the five states.

The following meeting at level of ministers is planned in Astrakhan in 2020.
