Currently, the great Turkish Atlas is prepared, the Azerbaijani Report website reports, citing the president of the International Turkish Academy (TVESCO), Darkhan Kydyrali.
“A book called “Toponym atlas” is being compiled. Maps of the Turkic states that existed at different times of history will be described in the book. The territories surrounded by Seljuks, Safavids or Ottoman Empire will be shown on these maps as well. The book will also include maps featuring territories of Aq Qoyunlu, Kara Koyunlular and other Turkic states,” he told.
In addition, Darkhan Kydyrali noted, that a joint history book of Turkic peoples, which is envisaged to be taught in secondary schools.
At present, common geography and literature books of the Turkic people are being prepared. As a continuation of this tradition, we will publish common books of Turkish peoples,” the president of the International Turkish Academy said.
