GDP growth rate in Turkmenistan totaled 6.3% over 10 months of 2019. According to the Turkmen television’s Vatan news programme, the country’s socio-economic development results from January to October inclusively were summed up at a session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday.
The total increase was 6.9% in goods production, more than 19% in retail trade turnover, and 4.2% in foreign trade as compared to the same period last year.
The Government’s meeting also addressed the issue related to the development of the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2020. As was specified, more than 75% of funds in the state budget for next year will be allocated for development of social sector, as well as increase in salaries, pensions, state benefits and student scholarships by 10%.
