The forum of public organizations of Turkmenistan was held in Ashgabat. Its goal was to develop effective intersectoral cooperation between government agencies, business communities and NGOs for the implementation of socially significant initiatives, raising interest in the activities of public associations.
The forum was attended by representatives of such public organizations as Yenme, Yashyl Shohle, Keyik Okara, Ynanch Vepa, the Blind and Deaf Society. In total, there are over a hundred public associations in Turkmenistan, delegates from which also participated in the meeting.
The participants got acquainted with new initiatives in the fields of ecology, gender equality, social policy, as well as the development of a volunteer movement within public organizations.
Public organizations promote positive changes by developing new areas, drawing public attention to the problems of specific social groups.
– It is important to review together the prospects for the development of joint action in the implementation of socially significant projects. We managed to implement our programs on supporting target groups and providing them with social services, Yenme founder Gulya Chorekliyeva said.
“Good from a pure heart” – this is how the activities of many public organizations in the country can be characterized. After all, that society can be considered civilized and humane, which considers its duty to provide a comfortable life, equal opportunities for active social realization to people with disabilities.
