EBRD arranges export business consulting for Turkmen businessmen

On February 20-22, Ashgabat will host a training entitled “Best Practices of Export and Trade Finance”, designed specifically for Turkmen private enterprises aimed at expanding the supply of their products to foreign markets.

The training course will be organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the British Embassy in Turkmenistan. According to ORIENT, the specialists of the British non-profit company Crown Agents, which has been providing assistance in the development of the business environment worldwide since 1833, will conduct the training.

Interactive activities include working with marketing analysis and mini-exercises. During the course, entrepreneurs will be able to identify suitable directions for expanding the export of their goods, obtain necessary information based on international market research, schedule visits to establish relations with foreign partners, etc.

The training will help entrepreneurs to develop the ability to manage export operations and make informed decisions on the assessment of market conditions and risks associated with international trade.

The course also includes a 90-minute individual counseling session, during which participants will discuss with experts the possibility of applying the knowledge gained in practice according to their own business strategy and goals.

Trainings to improve the export potential of private enterprises have been held by the EBRD in Turkmenistan for more than 3 years, but this is the first training course at the Advanced level, designed for experienced manufacturers aimed at reaching the international level of business development.
