Designer of Turkmenistan Aina Annayeva (Aina Yzbasar) was awarded a special prize of the international online competition of fashion designers IBEFF Etnomoda Festival “For the use of various traditional techniques for creating costumes and accessories”.
The fashion designer took part in the nomination “Ethno-motives in modern fashion” and presented the collection “Desert Flower” dedicated to the flora of the Garagum Desert. It includes don gowns, various costumes, trousers, tunics and much more.
“Bright colors, daring details, bold mix of textures, digging deep into the old days and having big ideas for the ambitious future. The collection is not strongly tied to fashion trends, since comfort and convenience lie at the heart of its creation, but the use of decorative elements is important. There are no longer any restrictions”, this is how the designer describes the collection.
In creating the collection, she used fabrics, consisting of natural fiber such as cotton, silk, wool, linen.
“The concept of my clothes is in simplicity: a cut that does not require conformity to the size range, appropriateness in any place and for any body size”, Aina says.
