This is especially important in the context of transforming the transport corridors of the Central Asian region into economic ones. Their strengthening through the “corridors of knowledge” in the programs and initiatives of regional cooperation will promote the rapprochement of the countries of the region, will activate joint work on important projects.
During the meeting, investment trends were considered, regional markets as a platform for knowledge exchange, creation of regional networks and alliances, discussed the role of stakeholders in the formation of knowledge corridors.
The first CAREC forum was held in Astana in 2016, the main theme of which was “Promoting economic cooperation for integrated Central Asia”. Based on the momentum received during the first forum, the second forum was organized in Urumqi in 2017. Information solutions for regional cooperation and integration were discussed at the meeting.
