COVID-19: In Afghanistan, senior civil servants were allowed to work from home, while, in Uzbekistan, the overprice would not be permitted

In Afghanistan, civil servants at the ages of 58-65 were allowed for distant work for three weeks. Representatives of the Afghanistan Independent Commission on Administrative Reform and Civil Service announced this decision, taken as part of the preventive measures against COVID-19 coronavirus spread.

In addition, the Commission made a decision to allow pregnant civil servants women for distant work as well – the Commission enabled them to working from home starting from today and for the next two weeks.

In Tashkent, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov held a briefing on measures to prevent the coronavirus spread. The correspondent of Xabar.uz reports about it.

The Prime Minister noted that the country has enough supply of provisions. Tough measures will be taken in respect of entrepreneurs who unreasonably overprices. The Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan and tax authorities will monitor the situation on the market.
