An online meeting of the Council for Youth Affairs of the CIS countries took place in Moscow. The participants identified the preservation of the memory of the results and moral lessons of the Great Patriotic War as one of the priority directions in the organization of international youth cooperation.
The draft Action Plan for 2021-2022 on the implementation of the Strategy for International Youth Cooperation of the Countries for 2021-2030 was approved along with the Action Plan for 2021-2023 for the implementation of the Concept for the Development of Cooperation in Support of Youth Volunteerism.
In this regard, the Council noted the intensification of youth volunteer activities in the Commonwealth to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The Council initiated the development of the Interstate Program “Youth Capital of the CIS”, the implementation of the International Youth Project “100 Ideas for the CIS”, the Forum of youth public organizations and the International Youth Forum of the CIS countries on the SDGs.
The next meeting of the Council on Youth Affairs of the CIS member states is scheduled to be held in the first half of 2021 in Uzbekistan.
