The eighth season of the International Children’s Social Programme “Football for Friendship” runs from September 15 to November 15 online. Participants are young football players and young journalists aged 9 to 14, including those with disabilities.
Children from Turkmenistan are invited to shoot a video in which they will comment in English on a 1-minute piece of the match (VIDEO), in one take, without editing, and post the video on Facebook, Instagram and Youtube with the hashtag # F4FCommentator indicating their age and country of residence.
Football for Friendship is supported by UEFA and FIFA, international charitable foundations, famous athletes, politicians and artists.
The jury for the eighth season will include the world’s youngest football commentator, 12-year-old journalist Yazn Taha. More recently, in 2018, Yazn commented for the first time on the decisive match of the sixth season of the Football for Friendship World Cup in English. Previously, he did it only in Arabic, and by the end of the seventh season he had learned Spanish.
– I started playing football at the age of 5. Then I commented on my first Barcelona – Real match. I really like not only to comment on matches, but also to play football, and even more so to try myself in the new format of the Football for Friendship Programme and take part in an online game that will start in November. I look forward to the start to invite all my friends to participate and meet everyone in the field in the virtual world, says Yazn Taha.
