The states of Central Asia, including Turkmenistan, are intensely preparing for the fight against coronavirus from China. As ORIENT specified in the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service, in order to combat the possible penetration of the disease in Turkmenistan, the country’s Ministry of Health has issued an order “On measures aimed at identifying the symptoms and treatment of pulmonary diseases of unknown etiology”.
Also, in order to prevent, spread, import and protect the territory of the country from infectious diseases, a meeting of the Emergency Anti-Epidemic Commission was held.
The adopted set of measures provides for the work in medical institutions to improve the skills of specialists, as well as the implementation of measures for sanitary and epidemiological surveillance.
To protect the territory of the country from the importation and spread of the disease in border regions, control in sanitary quarantine centers and regional sanitary and epidemiological services has been strengthened. Also, control is carried out on persons coming from the states where the virus is detected.
The State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Turkmenistan reports that all measures have been taken in the country to provide necessary medicines and medical supplies.
Similar measures are being taken in other states of the region. In Tajikistan, all citizens entering China are subject to thorough scrutiny. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Health Mirhamuddin Kamolzoda at a meeting with reporters. In addition, the Ministry of Health asks Tajik citizens to refrain from traveling to China in the near future. At the points of entry into the republic quarantine points are organized.
Similar measures are being taken at Kyrgyz airports, reports Sputnik Kyrgyzstan. Specialists of the sanitary quarantine station work with a thermal imager to remotely identify people with a temperature and suspected infectious diseases. It is also reported that from January 23 to February 1, 2020 flights from Urumqi to Bishkek and back will be suspended.
Increased vigilance on the Uzbek border, reports Sputnik Uzbekistan. At the border points, a medical examination is carried out, people with suspected pneumonia are isolated and hospitalized. Work is being carried out with pilots, flight attendants and railway guides.
They are also ready to fight the virus in Kazakhstan, said the chief sanitary doctor Zhandarbek Bekshin in dialogue with Spunik Kazakhstan. He said that specialists have already received the structure of the new virus and can recognize it in the medical laboratories of Almaty and in Nur-Sultan. Bekshin also added that all passengers and crew members who arrived from China are checked after arrival in the country.
A coronavirus outbreak was recorded in the Chinese city of Wuhan. According to recent data, the number of patients with a new type of coronavirus in various provinces of China reached 571 people, 17 people died.
China canceled all sporting events in the country until April.
