The White House announced some provisions contained in the national security strategy.
In a 24-page document, the new administration pledged to use military force outside the country only when other means of resolving conflicts have been exhausted.
The US also intends to end the “endless wars” such as the war in Afghanistan. The Pentagon has been advised to abandon outdated military systems and invest resources in the development of the latest weapons. The establishment of effective means of protection against cyber-attacks was specified as another priority.
The Biden’s administration will present a comprehensive national security strategy later.
