Ashgabat has joined the flash mob in support of fighting the pandemic

World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day is marked on May 8 in the majority of the countries of the world. This year in connection with COVID-19 it has been decided to change the campaign concept to concentrate attention to volunteers and workers who are on the front line of control of the pandemic.

The National Society of the Red Crescent of Turkmenistan has joined the flash mob announced in this regard. #Keep Clapping.

Today in the same way – applause of people of different ages and kind of activity – Turkmenistan has expressed support and gratitude to volunteers and employees of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent all over the world.

ORIENT has participated in record of this video which was held against the background of the monument “Ashgabat” as a visiting card of the Turkmen capital. Observing shootings, we have paid attention to observance of social distancing between people though in Turkmenistan such necessity is not present, in view of absence of cases of coronavirus. As organizers explained to us, it is one more form of participation and support of many countries which have suffered from COVID-19.

Today the video clip «applause of gratitude» with corresponding hash tag has been uploaded onto the social networks by participants of the Turkmen movement of the Red Crescent and also has been shown in the general video with volunteers and employees from different national societies.
