In Afghanistan the presidential elections campaign appointed for September, 28, started. For the post of the head of the republic 18 candidates stand, and the election campaign will last till September 25.
Ashraf Ghani, the present president of Afghanistan has also proposed himself as candidate for the second term. Other aspirant – present Prime Minister Abdulla Abdulla.
By estimates of observers, in the country there are more than 9 million persons have possibility to vote for the future of Afghanistan. For them there will be opened over 7 thousand polling stations. Representatives of the electoral committee promised to provide transparency of these elections.
Preliminary results are planned to be published on October 19 and final one – on November, 7.
