The Afghan Ministry of Commerce and Industry declared that 10,000 tons of various goods with a total cost US $ 220 million were exported per a thousand flights.
In a press-release, issued by the Ministry, it is reported that the cargo was sent through the air harbors of Afghanistan to India, China, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Kuwait. Deliveries were also made to European countries: Switzerland, Germany, Romania, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, Great Britain, France, Ukraine and a number of others.
The main categories of goods, exported by Afghan Airline Service are pomegranate, saffron, ornamental stones, cotton, grapes, melon, almonds, pistachios, carpets, sheepskin.
There are 28 airports in Afghanistan. International ones are Kabul, Kandahar, Herat, Bagram.
Kabul is the country’s largest airport, providing an average of 30 flights per day.
National Airlines of Afghanistan: Kam Air, Safi Airways, Ariana Afghan Airline. Moreover, the flights are operated by aircraft of the Indian, Iranian and Turkish Airlines.
