A briefing devoted to issues of the diplomatic corps of the country was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan

Today a briefing devoted to the expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers which was held the day before, was organized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan where results of the work carried out in the context of realization of foreign policy strategy of the country were considered.

Heads of diplomatic missions and representative offices of Turkmenistan abroad, representatives of local mass media, students took part in the briefing abroad.

Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations Aksoltan Atayeva, ambassadors of Turkmenistan to Japan, France, Iran, Turkey, editors-in-chiefs of mass-media spoke before the gathered.

“At present, we set ourselves the foreign policy service, embassies abroad – practical tasks for the coming years.” And of course, all these tasks should serve our main goal and be aimed at strengthening the place of Turkmenistan as a peace-loving, ensuring and strengthening general stability and security, implementing programs of sustainable development of the state on the world stage”, – president Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov told at the governmental session.

Concrete steps under the decision of these issues put before the diplomatic corps, were designated at the briefing in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the focus of attention was also preparation for organization of the international conference and celebrations and actions devoted to the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, and the conference of ministers of transport of landlocked developing countries.

The opening of the General Consulate of Turkmenistan in Kazan and approval of a number of programs including the Program for the Development of Foreign Economic Activities of Turkmenistan at 2020-2025, the National Action Plan on combating human trafficking in Turkmenistan for 2020-2022, the National Strategy of Turkmenistan for the Prevention of Violent Extremism and Counteraction to terrorism for the years 2020-2024 and others were touched upon.
