Turkmen Taekwondo Players participate in the South Asian Championship in Nepal

On July 13-15, the VI South Asian & Open Taekwondo Championships will be held in the city of Kathmandu, Nepal.

The best Taekwondo sportsmen of the country, medalists of many international competitions will represent Turkmenistan at this competition. There is Gaygysiz Atabayev (57 kg), International Master of Sports, the Silver medalist of 2016 Asian Championship, the Gold and Silver medalist of the 2016 World Cup, among them.

The delegation also includes Orazmyrad Charyev (64 kg), the Gold medalist of the 2016 Asian Championship, the Three-Time Gold medalist of the 2016 World Cup, Serdar Hydyrov (71 kg), the Silver medalist of the 2013 International Martial Arts Games, and the Silver medalists of the 2016 Asian Championship Annamyrad Goshanyiazov (64 kg) and Goshaniyaz Durdiyev (57 kg).

Their coach Aydogdy Atabaev, the holder of the ITF Taekwondo special order, the International Master of Sports and the Honored coach of Turkmenistan, will accompany the Taekwondo sportsmen. The athletes had an intensive course of training at the sports base of the federation in the Mary province. Therefore, they are ready to represent Turkmenistan with dignity in these competitions.

“We are sure that we will bring a number of valuable awards home,” Gaygysiz Atabayev said. “Our fans will be proud of us!”
