Turkmen athletes to perform at the Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship in Kazakhstan

Turkmen athletes departed for the 2018 Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship, which will be held in the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, on July 12-16.

The sports delegation consists of Rustam Rozmetov (77 kg), the Silver medalist of Contact Ju-Jitsu V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG-2017), the Gold medalist of the 2016 Combat Ju-Jitsu World Championship in Croatia, Serdar Hojamuhammedov (92kg), the winner of the 2018 III Combat Ju-Jutsu Open Asian Championships.

Jelilmuhammed Hodjamyradov (70kg), the Gold medalist of AIMAG-2017, the Silver and Bronze medalist of the 2017 Grand Slam International Tournament in Thailand, and the bronze medalists of these competitions Rahmet Taganov, Mergen Tejenov, Mergen Jorayev and Yusup Tanryberdiyev, will also represent Turkmenistan.

The female national team is represented by Aysoltan Garchovova (+70kg), the winner of the Jiu-Jitsu (Ne-Waza) V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, Sabina Agajanova (+70kg), the Silver medalist of the Ashgabat-2017 Games, and other honoured athletes.
The sports delegation also includes the coaches of the team – Alan Niyamengliyev, Shohrat Annamuhammedov, Dovletmyrat Kasymov and the judges – Rustem Imamkuliyev and Leyla Kuliyeva.

The championship in Aktau will gather over 1,000 athletes from all over the world. They will demonstrate their skills in four categories of Ju-Jitsu: Fighting System, Ne-Waza, Duo and Contact Systems.
