Triumphants of the boxing Championship of Turkmenistan celebrate victory

That’s the end of the 2018 Championship in boxing. It will be remembered to us by tough fights of irreconcilable rivals in the ring, but friends in life.

Behind the fights of Turkmen boxers, the spectators gambled and carefully watched titled foreign guests – high professionals of their art.

Sometimes it came to heated debates and betting. And if the battle was won by someone’s favorite, then it was turned into double joy – the triumph of victory with Turkmen boxers was shared by famous sportsmen.

Among them were Denis Lebedev, a professional boxer, champion of the WBA and IBF, Oleg Taktarov – a world champion in mixed martial arts, Oleg Saitov – a two-time Olympic champion, Alexander Lebzyak – an Olympic champion, world and European champion, and Serik Konakbayev – a vice-president of the International Amateur Boxing Association and president of the Asian Boxing Confederation.

For four days, boxers from different parts of Turkmenistan competed for the title of the country’s champions. Someone had to leave the race on the first day, but the most stubborn in the desire to win reached the finale, showing the limits of human capabilities.

But this is the meaning of sport – to be able to overcome oneself when it seemed that the last forces were exhausted and you need to get a second breath. Perseverance and will for victory of Turkmen boxers were noted by the honorable guests of the national championship. So we will remember the 2018 Championship – bright, spectacular, unpredictable. And in some ways even mystical …

The victory ensured the athletes not only the title of the country’s champions, but also provided an opportunity to participate in the national team at the summer Asian Games 2018, which will be held in the Indonesian city of Jakarta. The future medals of the Turkmen boxers were inspired by the world famous master of leather gloves.
